KCD PR, a San Diego-based public relations and content marketing firm, announced today that it has been named PR agency of record and a member firm of the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE), a non-profit dedicated to accelerating the regional economy by promoting alignment and collaboration within the cyber community. Kevin Dinino, President of KCD PR, will be representing the firm’s position on CCOE’s Board, serving as Co-Chair of the Outreach Committee.
“We are thrilled to call upon KCD PR to oversee and manage all communication efforts on behalf of CCOE,” said retired Rear Admiral Ken Slaght, Co-chair and President of San Diego CCOE. “We selected KCD PR because they bring a unique expertise in building awareness on critical business communications issues such as the cybersecurity challenges facing many businesses today. We’re excited to partner with KCD PR to further position San Diego as a global hub for cyber security innovation.”
KCD PR will work with CCOE to build awareness and visibility throughout the San Diego region. The firm is also expected to lead various CCOE educational and job-related programs tailored to the academic community to attract and nurture talent within the city. Additionally, KCD PR will lead the charge during October’s National Cybersecurity Awareness Month in raising awareness and recognition of the importance of cybersecurity to the San Diego community through various communications and industry specific campaigns.
“KCD PR is honored to lead the efforts and position CCOE and the San Diego region as one of the nation’s leading cyber clusters,” said Dinino. “Cybersecurity is the single largest threat to the government and private sectors today and businesses need to recognize the importance of having a strategic communications plan to create and maintain a positive reputation in the midst of crisis.”
KCD PR joins a collection of world-class B2B and cyber companies with operations in San Diego such as Qualcomm, FICO, Lockton, ESET, Sentek Global, Morrison Foerster and the United States Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR).
