Comdata, a fintech pioneer and leading payments company for the trucking industry, engaged KCD PR to elevate its brand and leadership.
KCD needed to develop an executive visibility campaign for its leaders and insert Comdata in the news cycle with a strategic media relations program.
To inform the campaign, KCD studied Comdata’s products and solutions and held conference calls with the new Senior Vice President to learn more about his plans for the future of Comdata’s tools and solutions and thoughts regarding fintech in the trucking and transportation industries.
Using this information, we developed a series of media briefs, crafted media pitches and drafted a news release announcing corporate developments, including highlighting the expertise of new hires and leaders. Arranging briefings, interviews and thought leadership platforms helped in engage with key media.
The strategy was very successful – through a combination of targeted media outreach and press release distribution – we were able to secure consistent and significant exposure in various media outlets. KCD PR garnered multiple stories that highlighted the new SVP’s expertise, while announcing his new position.
We secured placements in notable trucking trade outlets such as FreightWaves and Fleet News Daily. We also placed stories in fintech outlets such as, Mobile Payments Today and PYMNTS.com. Additionally, by developing and distributing the announcement press release, we were able to secure 256 media placements and more than 161 million impressions.
